Scorcher

Tayo ‘Scorcher’ Jarrett has found a new focus, and is ready to harness his talent for making music. Whilst the homegrown sound has evolved in the UK in recent years, one thing has remained the same that Scorcher is considered one of the pioneers of grime who maintains a foothold in music. The MOBO award winning Tottenham resident has made his mark as an independent artist: achieving millions of streams, performing at the iconic music festivals Glastonbury and Wireless, as well as touring with Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. His international presence has been felt for over a decade and he still continues to build his audience and impact.

Scorcher’s influence as an artist is solidified and it’s why fellow UK juggernauts such as Ed Sheeran, Tion Wayne, JME and D Double E have collaborated with him. In the past year, he’s had a string of music releases and features alongside grime legends Lethal Bizzle, Wiley and Chip. Robbie Williams recently (June) invited Scorcher, Lethal Bizzle and Wiley to perform as special guests at his show in the Emirates stadium; a crossover moment which further cemented Scorcher’s influence and reach. He’s also recently signed to Lizzy Records, an independent record label championing UK music and exporting it internationally, with a string of commercial and cultural successes.

Alongside his musical accomplishments, he’s been pouring his creativity into establishing himself as a credible actor. Over the years, he’s had lead and supporting roles in the likes of Netflix smash hit ‘Top Boy’, Steve McQueen’s critically acclaimed ‘Small Axe’, Comedy Central’s ‘Drunk History’, BBC feature ‘You Don’t Know Me’ and Adam Deacon’s ‘SumOtherhood’. Scorcher is energised and set to continue building on his recent momentum with a run of music.
