Biography

The story so far

Manilla Times are a fast-rising indie/alternative rock band based in Manchester; originally from small towns in Ireland and Wales. The four-piece have been championed by BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Wales, and RTÉ Ireland, and featured on major editorial playlists including Proper Belters and Fresh Finds UK & IE.

Following a breakout year in 2024 with a debut at Glastonbury Festival and sold-out headline shows in London (O2 Academy Islington), Paris (Supersonic), and Belfast (Ulster Sports Club), Manilla Times continued their momentum over recent years with sell-out tours across the UK & Ireland, festival appearances at Y NOT, The Great Escape and FOCUS Wales, and support slots with artists including The Ordinary Boys, Youth Sector and Steve Mason.

In 2026, Manilla Times released their second EP "Any Second Now", supported by BBC Radio Wales, BBC Introducing and Hot Press Magazine, promoted by a string of headline dates in Dublin, Manchester, London and Cardiff. Following a busy festival season, the band continue their momentum into the autumn with a series of UK headline shows and support slots, including a hometown date in North Wales where the band are set to debut some new music as we enter a new era of the band.
