All ArtistsThe story so far
Operating from their Stockport-based studio, BEAM NOIR have been developing a raw and chaotic brand of alternative rock, never shying away from unconventional influences or recording methods. Their boundary pushing approach has already earned them airplay on BBC Radio 1 across four consecutive releases.
Building on that momentum, the band travelled to South Wales to team up with acclaimed producer Gethin Pearson (Kele, JAWS, Mallory Knox) to pull all of their inspirations into the mix and create something entirely their own, staying rooted in their alternative sound whilst channeling the spirit of their hometown.
The result is a sound that balances huge melodic hooks with driving guitars, groove led rhythms and an openness to influences that stretch far beyond alternative music. Rather than recreating the past, BEAM NOIR wear those influences naturally.
Their debut EP, Petrichor, captures a band embracing change. Named after the smell that follows heavy rain, the record explores themes of self reflection, growth and moving forward, pairing emotionally honest songwriting with choruses built to be shouted back from festival crowds.
With Petrichor, BEAM NOIR have found where they fit, and it feels like their beginning.
